1) Who we are & how to contact us

Get Me Finance Ltd acts as a credit broker and not a lender. We introduce customers to a panel of trusted lenders and finance providers. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact our Privacy Team: [email protected] or write to the address above.

2) The data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us we may collect:

  • Identity & contact data — name, email, phone, company, job title, postal address.
  • Application data — asset details, budgets, finance requirements, trading and ownership information, bank details used for underwriting, affordability information.

  • Marketing preferences — your choices for email, phone, SMS.

3) Where we get your data

  • Directly from you via our forms, phone, email or chat.
  • From third parties where permitted — introducers, dealers, lenders, brokers, fraud-prevention agencies, credit reference agencies (CRAs), public sources such as Companies House.

5) Sharing your data

We may share necessary information with:

  • Our lender and broker partners to obtain quotes and process applications (e.g., asset & vehicle finance providers).
  • Service providers (IT hosting, CRM, email, analytics) under contract and subject to confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Regulators and law enforcement where required by law.

When we introduce you to a lender, that lender becomes an independent controller for their processing. They’ll provide their own privacy notice.

6) International transfers

Your data is primarily processed in the UK. Where data is transferred outside the UK (for example by our cloud providers), we use appropriate safeguards such as UK IDTA, EU Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy regulations.

7) How long we keep your data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above:

  • Enquiries: typically up to 24 months from last contact.
  • Applications/agreements: typically the term of the agreement plus up to 6 years (to meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations).
  • Marketing consents: until you unsubscribe or the consent is refreshed.

8) Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights to:

  • Access a copy of your personal data;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Delete data in certain circumstances;
  • Restrict or object to processing, including direct marketing;
  • Data portability (for information you provided to us);
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent.

To exercise your rights, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity.

9) Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to operate the site and, with your permission, analytics/marketing cookies to improve performance and measure campaigns. You can manage non-essential cookies via our cookie banner or your browser settings. For more detail, see our Cookie Policy (if applicable).

10) Automated decision-making & credit searches

We do not make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects. Lenders we introduce you to may use automated tools, credit searches with CRAs and fraud-prevention databases to assess applications. They will provide details in their own privacy notices.

11) Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and staff training. However, no system is completely secure; please take care when sending sensitive information by email.

12) Children

Our services are for UK businesses and adult consumers. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

13) Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please check their policies.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.

15) Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can resolve the issue. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
